Responsible Play

Practical information for keeping gambling recreational, recognising harm, and finding confidential support.

Effective 3 September 2026Malaysia-focused directory

Keep play within clear limits

Gambling should be treated as paid entertainment, never as a way to earn income or recover debt. Set a spending limit and a time limit before starting. Do not borrow to gamble, chase losses, or play while distressed, intoxicated or under pressure.

Warning signs

  • Spending more time or money than planned
  • Trying to win back losses
  • Hiding gambling activity from people you trust
  • Missing bills, work, study or family commitments
  • Feeling anxious, angry or unable to stop

If any of these feel familiar, stop and seek support early.

Take a break

Use any deposit limits, cooling-off tools or self-exclusion options offered by the platform. You can also remove saved payment methods, disable marketing messages, ask your bank or e-wallet provider about transaction controls, and involve someone you trust.
