“Bank in” and “cuci bank” point in opposite directions
Promotional copy mixes the two constantly, which makes claims hard to compare. Bank in (or topup) is money going into the platform. Cuci bank is money coming out to you. A platform can be generous about one and restrictive about the other.
| Wording seen publicly | Direction | What it does not tell you |
|---|---|---|
| “Cuci bank in 50%” | A deposit-linked bonus offer | Nothing about withdrawal availability, limits or timing |
| “Min topup RM10 · min cuci RM50” | Both, in one line | Whether the same bank rail is used for the payout |
| “Bank transfer supported” | Usually deposits | Which banks, what limits, and whether payouts use the same route |
| “Cuci bebas, xde limit” | A promotional claim | Actual caps, turnover conditions and review times |
FPX is a checkout rail, not a payout rail
PayNet describes FPX as choosing FPX at a merchant’s checkout, selecting your bank, logging in and approving a payment — a payer-to-merchant flow. Its published personal payment range is RM1 to RM30,000, subject to your bank’s own limits.
That is why “fpx cuci” rarely describes what actually happens. A platform that accepts FPX deposits usually pays out by bank transfer instead. This does not mean a merchant can never arrange refunds or separate payouts — it means the payout route must be checked on its own terms rather than assumed from the deposit logo.
Instant transfer versus IBG batches — the real reason for “lambat”
Malaysian bank transfers can travel on an instant rail or on Interbank GIRO, which credits in scheduled batches. Maybank publishes, for example, that transfers made after 5pm on a business day and transfers made on non-business days are credited by 11am on the next business day. Other banks publish their own schedules, and a platform’s processor may add its own batch window on top.
| Situation | Likely effect on a payout | Plan for it |
|---|---|---|
| Requested mid-morning on a business day | Best case for same-day crediting | Note the request timestamp |
| Requested after the published cut-off | May be credited the next business day on a batch rail | Check your bank’s published schedule |
| Requested Saturday, Sunday or a public holiday | Batch rails typically resume the next business day | Expect a delay that is not the platform’s doing |
| First payout on a new account | KYC review happens before any rail is used | Complete verification early, not at payout time |
| Large amount | Additional review or split payments are common | Ask what threshold triggers extra review |
What a bank cuci record must contain
- The exact withdrawal method label in the cashier, with a date.
- Supported banks for payouts, which may be a shorter list than for deposits.
- Stated minimum and maximum withdrawal, and any per-day request limit.
- Fees shown at request time, separated into platform fee and bank charge.
- Whether the payout account name must match the registered account name.
- Stated review time, kept separate from the transfer time.
- Cut-off or maintenance windows mentioned in the terms.
- Evidence source and last-checked date, plus a correction route.
Panduan Bahasa Malaysia: cuci ke akaun bank
“Bank in” dan “cuci” bukan perkara sama. Bank in bermaksud memasukkan duit ke platform (deposit); cuci bermaksud mengeluarkan duit ke akaun anda. Iklan sering mencampurkan kedua-duanya.
Jadi “cuci guna FPX” jarang menggambarkan proses sebenar — pengeluaran biasanya melalui pemindahan bank.
Kelewatan hujung minggu selalunya jadual bank.
